We're Hiring!

Hello CZTs! In 2020 TangleU will be in Scottsdale, Arizona and we are hiring teachers! Tangle U is the premier continuing education event for CZTs! Last year we had 150 CZTs learn from 9 different teachers -- could you be one of our teachers for next year?

Your talents will make this event great! I will hire several teachers on a variety of topics. Propose as many classes as you like! Propose anything of interest to other CZTs - Topics could include:
  • Working with specific materials (like particular markers, pencils, colored/toned paper)
  • Working on a new surface
  • How to teach on Zentangle® branded product (white, black, Renaissance, Biju, Opus, Zendala, Apprentice)
  • Tangling particular patterns, tips on tangling, shading, coloring, etc.
  • How to teach
  • Booking classes and marketing
  • Class plans - basics and beyond
  • Classes thematic to the Arizona
  • ZIA workshops,
  • Spirituality
  • Zentangle® in a clinical setting
  • Teaching to kids and how to work with the school system
  • Using technology
  • Running a business, Marketing
  • Anything that that is related to Zentangle®, ZIA’s, or being a CZT!
  • We stick close to the Zentangle® principals and rarely use rulers, stencils or other tools in our classes.

Pick Me! Pick Me!

PICK ME! PICK ME! -- How to get your proposal recognized!
  • Have a great tiltle and class description - really paint the picture - show the student how learning what you have to offer will benefit them!
  • Teach tangling - CZT students want to learn new tangles and the tips and tricks to make them great. ALL classes must include tangling and lesson plans must include step outs.
  • Classes will be either 3 or 5 hours. Make sure the student will have finished or nearly finished work by the end of the class (ex. 1/4 or mandala is completed is OK, substrate done with no tangling completed - not OK)
  • Use interesting materials or traditional materials in a new way.
  • Provide a complete materials list. Tangle U will provide all materials with few exceptions.
  • Each class must have a lesson plan so that students can go back and teach the material to their students. Lesson plans are due on March 1, 2020.
  • AND - all class projects should measure 8 1/2" x 11" or less. (although I do make exceptions!)
  • Preference is given to classes that debut at TangleU.
  • All teachers must be CZT credentialed by Zentangle®.
All classrooms will have a hands free microphone, screen, document camera and projector and the ability to also run powerpoint type presentations from your laptop or iPad. You will also have an extra table at the front for your teaching supplies and a space for a mosaic of class work.

Compensation will be based upon teacher experience and class assignment (core or optional).. Compensation details will be included in teacher contracts. Teacher contracts cover all details including our standard policy teacher compensation if TangleU makes a schedule change.
